What We're Making In Our Instant Pots & Pressure Cookers

What We're Making In Our Instant Pots & Pressure Cookers

We're all enjoying many more meals at home right now, thanks to the closure of many restaurants and stay-at-home orders, and it's led to both a lot of creativity and kitchen burnout. One of our Facebook Group members asked our community to share what they're making in their Instant Pots and the responses were top notch. We just had to compile them so you had an easy reference for your quarantine cooking inspiration. If you weren't already hungry, you're about to be.

Kalua Pig

The mastermind behind this recipe had been making her classic Slow Cooker Kalua Pig recipe for years but it's main drawback was the painful 16-hour cooking time where she had to smell delicious simmering pork without chowing down.

Cashew Chicken

This Chinese menu staple is a beloved choice for take out or delivery, but can also be made at home in your pressure cooker in just 30 minutes. That's maybe even shorter than it would take to receive your delivery order!

Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs

These extra tender ribs can even be made with ribs straight from the freezer, and still be done in about a half hour. Get ready for a delicious, if messy, meal.

Vegetarian Chili Mac

If you grew up loving Hamburger Helper, this super satisfying chili mac is sure to hit the spot. Not to mention it only takes 5 minutes to cook in the Instant Pot!

Creole Jambalaya

This New Orleans favorite cooks in just 30 minutes and is totally flavor-packed. The author adapted it from a stovetop version she found in an old New Orleans cookbook that's been on her shelf forever, but she prefers the Instant Pot version!

Mexican Pinto Beans with Queso

Inspired by a delicious dish the author discovered on a restaurant menu titled "Frijoles Con Todo," this dish can be served as a soup or over rice. If you're into beans, you'll be obsessed with these!

Three Packet Slow Cooker Roast

Just three packets and chuck roast are all you need to make this meal (and a little broth if you so choose). One member of our Facebook Group made this in her Instant Pot with meat straight from the freezer and thought it was delicious.

Instant Pot Beans

If you aren't sure if you need a pressure cooker like the Instant Pot in your life, members of our group were quick to note that one of their favorite functions is quickly and easily making yummy beans from dried beans without needing to soak them overnight.

What are you making in your Instant Pot? Tell us on the thread in our Facebook Group. We'd love to hear and give it a try ourselves!
